Growing up in the country Melodie quickly learned to use her imagination when playing outdoors. When indoors, her creative outlet came in the form of doodling and making up outlandish stories. This outlet proved successful and drawing became favorite skill right on through completing her Bachelor of Applied Arts Illustration Degree at Sheridan College.
Her love and experience of her rural upbringing can be seen throughout Melodie's work. With the use of colour, raw application of media and even the incorporation of animals into all types of work.
Missing the fields of grass and the wafting scent of horse manure... Melodie currently resides in Oakville, Ontario Canada.
